I'm having a yard sale this Saturday from 8ish to 1sh. Stop by, visit, browse, whatever. It's the first of probably several, so don't be sad if you miss this one. I am starting out mostly with selling books and old clothes. Oh, and my teacher stuff needs new homes. If any of y'all know anyone who teaches 1st-4th grade and is in need of kid's reading books, send them my way. I have a few teacher instruction books and loads of baskets and containers. Oh, and kid's books--lots of them.

I'll need to ride a bike sometimes, right? I'll just have to re-learn how exactly to do that. Anyone have an extra bike and want to coach me?

I'm realizing that my winter wardrobe is sorely lacking, which could be a problem in a colder climate. Here's some things I dreaming about wearing, but rarely have need in the 'No.

Sweaters, ah sweaters. I love to wear them when it's cold enough, which to me is never in Fresno. I own one pullover sweater and a few cardigans. I think I have a sweatshirt somewhere, too. Yup. Did I mention sorely lacking?


Issue two: A warm, weather-proof jacket. I have a nice wool jacket, but when I visited last January and was in the rain, it soaked up quite a bit of water. I like this one:
It has a hood that doesn't show in the photo. It's one of those convertible coats, so I could take the fleece part out and play with the pieces depending on the weather. I also am in love with the concept of wearing a nice wool blazer like this one:
Ah, the fantasies. I'll probably need some socks, too. Hmm. Yeah.

future plans...

Yeah, the cat is out of the bag. I'm making tentative plans to move up to Olympia in December or January. In celebration of the change, I have added weather widgets to the side of my page. You can now compare the weather (certainly not the only reason for the move, but certainly not a bad thing) in Fresno and Olympia.

I know many of you have survived moves of all sorts, and I'm curious what advice y'all could share about moving long distance. I have some ideas on how to do this, but tips and advice are always welcome. I'm especially interested in tips on how to move my kitties. Any experience there?

Thank you to those who have already shown support, and even those who have been hesitant to celebrate as well. It's a big thing to move, and I don't necessarily have the easiest circumstances in life, which will make the move a bit more complicated. Knowing this, I'm choosing to be conscious of those circumstances while I explore these plans. I think that overall, this will be a positive, exciting, learning experience. So thanks. I will need all y'all to get this done. :)
