latest crafts
First, a quilt I am working on:
and closer up:
And, second, some gloves that are finished, but for the finishing (I need to sew in the ends of the yarns):

I've been slow with crafting lately, but trying to challenge myself to do things that are a little more difficult and time consuming, like the gloves. They were a pain at times, and took longer than anything I've knitted in a while, but are very beautiful and warm. A little small, but darnit, I'll be wearing them this winter!

before and after photos
I was looking through some old photos and found this one of fatty Chloe:
and took one of the sleeker, current version of the ol' Cho-cho:
Yep, she's getting older and thinner. I made a recent purchase off of Craiglist for her. It's a heated bed. Actually quite fancy, usually 80 bucks or so at pet stores, for a much cheaper price used. It has a pressure sensor, so it stays 10 degrees warmer than the room when no cat is present, then stays 102 degrees when the cat is there. See, fancy.
Then I found this picture of my right toe's flexibility before surgery:
and took one to show its flexibility currently:
Pretty impressive, eh? I think so anyhow. Also in the picture is a current project, a quilt. I'll post a better picture later of that, plus some of the things I've been working on.

of all the sillinesses
I went to my podiatrist this morning because of some foot pain in my surgeried foot that I wasn't sure about. Turns out I sprained my second metatarsal bone up by the ankle of my right foot. He looked long and hard at the x-ray to see if I had a stress fracture, but couldn't detect any, so he's calling it a sprain for today. He gave me a cortisone/B-12 shot into that joint, which should help in a day or so. I go back in two weeks to see if a fracture is showing by then. I'm supposed to wear my boot again if it hurts longer than a week. Suckage.

cuz I'm lazy
that's why I haven't posted lately. I have some knitting projects to finish and post, and hopefully those will be up soon. Thanks for your patience, and/or lack of pressure.
