STIFF

I thought I'd pick up some light travel reading. Here's what I got:
Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach. Call me morbid, but I couldn't wait for the trip to read it, so here I am with the half-way-through the book report. And, actually, I have very few words to describe it so far. Roach is a writer with wit that is wry enough to keep you just removed enough from the subject matter to keep reading. It's interesting, but at the same time, I haven't really felt hungry for a few hours and don't wonder why. Let me know if you're interested and maybe I'll pass it on to you when I'm done. I like sharing. Oh... I got this one, too:

TJ's has two new items that I must rave about. First: the new cheese-less pizza.As you can see, it has no cheese. It may seem sad at first, but let me tell you that it is quite joyful! The sauce is a sweet onion and mushroom spread, and the toppings (though a little scarce) are tomatoes and artichoke hearts. Ten minutes in the oven and oh SOOOOOO tasty!

Next is this little item:
That's right. Soy ice cream. Like the title suggests, it is actually "soy creamy"! Most rice and soy ice creams I've had leave something to be desired, but not this one. Even you dairy eaters would probably like it!

Last Saturday my friend Natalie and I participated in the Relay for Life walk. We were slotted for the superhero themed hour. We dressed as Powerpuff Girls. It was fun and silly. I must say we had the best costumes there. And, yes, I made them!
