i was made for this weather

I just walked about half mile in 10 ("feels like 3") degree weather, and it hardly even hurt. My cheeks feel a little burnt, but it was kind of nice. I was made for this. I think extreme cold is more my friend than extreme heat ever was.

It's done!!!!

After many hours of work, my new scarf is ready to be worn! Yay! A little info: It is double knit with two balls of Mini Mochi yarn, and the pattern is created by switching which yarn is on the right/wrong side. Basically, it's got two layers knit at the same time, with the yarn changing sides to create the chain link design. It was a piece of work, lemme tell you! I'm very proud...

Turkey Day traditions

This year, I am having a quiet Turkey Day, but as per my tradition, I put up my Christmas tree today. I like the warm glow of the lights, as well as knowing that this has been my tree for may a year.

It's been almost a year since I moved, and what a year it has been! I know my blogging has left something to be desired (Adam-- your prediction was spot on that I would wane in my blog) but I'll consider making it a New Year's resolution to do more. We'll see...
